Maggie

I met this client through my son!  I was hearing stories about his "girlfriend" at preschool and I share a few laughs with his teachers and said "girlfriend's" mom.  Her mom and I hit it off and she asked me to do some 6 month pictures of her youngest, Maggie.  Maggie was a dream to work with.

Sarah Bridal

I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Greyson's wedding this past weekend. Here is a peek at Sarah's bridal portraits. We had a great time tromping around in an unfinished area of her neighborhood.

Shannon & Justin

Oh how super excited I am to work with this couple!!  Their vision is spot on with my natural inclination of shooting.  They were a dream to work with and I honestly wanted to just keep going. I look so forward to their wedding in September and also working with them on their save-the-dates.
They met me in Stanfield at the local railroad tracks.  I just love a couple that gets as excited as I do to drag an antique couch onto some tracks.  :-)

M6

I have to honest, I was a little nervous when I knew I was going to be attempting a family shot with 4 young kids, the parents AND the dog!  But folks, it was one of the more easy sessions I've had this season!  They were so cooperative and full of energy, it was contagious.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of the kiddos and their personalities.
Kristi is a fabulous blogger and is passionate about adoption!  Her blog is here, check it out.

Awkward Family Photos

Because I just finished my busy season of some wonderful family photos, I thought I would post a funny on "awkward family photos".  There is a book I came across randomly in a store that I literally read the entire thing and laughed for a little too long.

So here's to NOT having any family ask this of me this season.
Enjoy.

Look at the box.

Extended Family Session

This session was really neat.  I haven't done too many like this, but it is such an awesome idea!  Shana, a long time client of mine (and friend) got both sets of parents together - her husband's and hers all at the same time to have pictures with each other.  The grandparents got their pictures with the grandkids, and got some really good candid moments.
In days to come, I know that Shana will cherish having these pictures!  What a great way to have current photos of your parents, your family and your children!
Location:  a really neat old homeplace in Polkton, NC.

Smith Family

This is the sweet Smith Family. It was such a pleasure working with them.  It was around little Eli's 1st birthday, so we focused on him throughout.
We met up at a really nice homestead site in Polkton.  It was gorgeous and a perfect spot for this gorgeous family.

and I always like to have a little fun at the end and Miss Lily got to look through my girl props. Wow, what a beautiful girl!
